Here are links to development tools that QuidPro® Software users have found helpful.

Graphics

Picasa 3

Picassa 3 is a free photo editing software from Google that makes editing your photos easy. Picasa 3 has an excellent, easy-to-use, photo cropping tool.  Plug in your dimensions and move your selection box over your photo until you find optimal framing; then click accept!

Pixie

Pixie is a simple color picker.  Run it, simply point your mouse to a color and it will tell you the hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK and HSV values of that color. You can then use these values to reproduce the selected color in your favorite programs.

Color Scheme Designer

Color Scheme Designer helps you create color schemes.  You start with one color (choose a color by playing with the color wheel or input a RGB #) and you end up with a multiple color schemes.  It is a great tool to use along with Pixie or other color pickers.

Kuler

Kuler is Adobe’s color scheme designer. It is a free web application that allows you to browse and share thousands of color schemes. To download a preferred color scheme you will have to sign up for a free Adobe ID.

Paint.net

Paint.net is free image and photo editing software for computers that run Windows. It offers many features similar to Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. There are tutorials to set you in the right direction.

GIMP

GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a freely distributed piece of software suitable for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition, and image authoring. It is a powerful piece of software with capabilities not found in any other free software product.
Note: You will need to download both GTK+ Runtime Environment and The Gimp installers. Install GTK+ before installing The Gimp

Photo Resizer

Photo Resizer is as its name suggests:  a perfect tool for quick resizing of images.  Drag the image (or folder of multiple images) to be resized onto the icon.  The images then get resized to whatever the number is on the application title.  Need a different image size, just change the number.

Picjuice.com

Picjuice.com is an online photo editor and it allows you to easily edit your photos: resize, crop, rotate, flip and adjust contrast and color levels. After you have finished, click on the "Save" icon to download your photo.

Audio & Video

Audacity

Audacity is an open source audio editor.  It is a capable tool for basic audio recording and has the power to do some more sophisticated recording if you need it. Audacity also lets you add different layers to your narration including ambient or other sound effects.  Don’t forget about the microphone – that is the key to quality sound in a program.

iMovie

iMovie is Mac’s video editing software that comes with iLife. The latest versions of iMovie can now be used on the iPhone 4 and iTouch.

Movie Maker

Movie Maker is an easy-to-use Windows PC video editor.  It can handle basic editing similar to an iMovie on a Mac.

AVS4YOU

AVS4YOU has all the editing and conversion tools that one could want and with a $39 one year registration, which allows you access to all 18 of their tools, it is a relative bargain, too. The Video Converter tool converts and resizes videos to FLV format.

Format Factory

Format Factory is another tool that lets you convert video from one format to another, particularly most formats to Flash (FLV). 

Swiff Player

Swiff Player is a free, stand-alone player that lets you easily play Flash movies. Swiff Player offers a variety of playback capabilities.

Voices.com

Voices is a great site for those of us not blessed with a voice for narration. This site is an online marketplace where business people connect with voice actors and professional voice-over talents. You can compare audition samples and fee quotes.
