Troubleshooting Download & Installation Problems
1. "I purchased the QuidPro® e-learning software, but when I tried to download it, an error message, ‘Software may be downloaded once,’ was displayed."
Each purchase download link is good only for a single download. If you are a registered user, you can request a new download link. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and a new link will be sent to your email.
2. "I purchased the QuidPro® e-learning software, but when I tried to download it, I was asked to Save or Open a zip file."
The Quid interactive software download link is a zip file which can be saved or opened.
- If you chose Open, the zip file will be downloaded and opened automatically, appearing as a folder containing "Quid…x.x.x-Setup.exe." Double-click on that file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If you chose Save, the zip file will be saved to your default download directory, or you may be prompted to select a location on your computer to save the file. After the zip file is downloaded, double-click it to open, then double-click the "Quid…x.x.x -Setup.exe" file to begin installation. Follow the on-screen instructions.
All supported versions of Windows (XP, 2003 Server, Vista 2008 Server, Windows 7) can open ZIPs without any additional software required.

3. "I purchased the QuidPro® e-learning software, but when I tried to download it, Internet Explorer displayed a message saying: "Your current settings do not allow this file to be downloaded."
Some organizations and users set the security level for Internet Explorer's Internet zone to the "high" security configuration, in which downloading programs is not allowed. One workaround, for those users with sufficient system privileges, is to add quid-interactive.com to the list of trusted sites, in the Internet Options (or Internet Properties) control panel. Another option is to reduce (at least temporarily) the security level of the Internet zone to "medium-high".
4. "I purchased the QuidPro® e-learning software, but when I tried to download and install it, nothing seemed to happen. I didn't see any error message, but the download didn't start."
When this happens, check to see if your browser has displayed a small status message near the top or bottom of the browser window; most of the major browsers do this under some conditions. (See the Internet Explorer and Chrome examples, displayed below.) Usually this takes the form of a message indicating that the download has been suspended, pending your confirmation that you want to allow it.
